We are one of more than 200 local groups in the Friends of the Earth (FOE) network in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. FOE local groups campaign to improve the environment in their own backyard, as well as joining in with campaigns nationally and internationally. The local group provides an opportunity to meet others who have concerns about their environment and who wish to work for a better planet.

Our campaigning can involve lobbying local councillors, meeting with council officers, arranging publicity stunts, dealing with local or national press (TV, radio and newspapers), writing articles, writing letters, waving banners, handing out leaflets, organising stalls, editing newsletters, the list goes on.
